September 4 @ 9:00 am - September 5 @ 4:00 pm
**Due to unprecedented circumstances with the COVID-19 pandemic, this is subject to the government lifting current social distancing restrictions. Thank you for your understanding.**
If you’re looking for a great opportunity for Professional Development, or simply want to up-skill in the area of Mental Health, then this is the perfect workshop to do just that!
By attending an accredited Mental Health First Aid workshop, 12 hours over two days, you will have the opportunity to become a certified Mental Health First Aider. This course will equip you with the tools to help assist people experiencing mental health struggles, enabling you to provide practical support until appropriate professional help is engaged.
This course is run by Suzanne Mealing, a Clinical Psychologist with a passion for educating people and raising awareness of Mental Health in the Community. She volunteers her time to facilitate this workshop, with all proceeds returned to Bright Church to support community projects.
The term 3 workshop will be running on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th September. Be quick though! It’s in high demand and spaces are limited. A light morning and afternoon tea will be provided during the course. Lunch can be brought or bought at Knox City near by.
There is a discount available if you’re on the Dream Team, get in touch with your department leader to get your discount code. Please note: You MUST be able to attend both sessions in their entirety to be eligible for certification.
