Mental Health First Aid Workshops

If you’re looking to accrue professional development hours, or simply want to up-skill in the area of Mental Health, the Mental Health First Aid workshop is a great opportunity to engage with. By attending an accredited Mental Health First Aid workshop, you can become a certified Mental Health First Aider. This 2 day course will equip you with the tools to help assist people experiencing mental health struggles, enabling you to provide practical support until appropriate professional help is engaged.

This course is run by Suzanne Mealing, a Clinical Psychologist with a passion for educating people and raising awareness of Mental Health in the Community. She volunteers her time to facilitate this workshop, with all proceeds returned to Bright Church to support community projects.  To enquire about group discounts, or to find out more about our next workshop, please email Suzanne on mhfa@brightchurch.com.

“I enjoyed it. It’s the second time I’ve done it and I loved Suzi’s knowledge of the mental health sector. Being a Clinical Psychologist it meant her knowledge of mental health went far beyond what was needed to deliver this course and she could answer additional questions because of her wealth of knowledge and experience. I found that truly valuable.”

“Very helpful! I thought the information was well communicated and easy to understand”

“Very informative and equipping for everyday life made me more aware and vigilant of what’s going on around me and more confident in being able to approach people in my community that may be struggling with mental health. Highly recommend it!”
